A candidate aspiring to become a Chartered Accountant may apply through the direct entry route after clearing his/her graduation examination.
Eligibility
- Commerce Graduate/ Post-Graduate (aggregate 55%) or Graduate/ Post-Graduate Other than Commerce (aggregate 60%)
- Candidates who have passed the Intermediate level of the Institute of Companies Secretaries of India (ICSI) or Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI)
- Under-Graduate* / Post-Graduate* in the last year of their Graduation / Post-Graduation can provisionally register before receiving their final year marksheet.
* The provisional registration will be confirmed on submission of final year graduation/post-graduation mark sheets within 6 months of examination.
Step-by-step guide to register for CA Intermediate through the Direct Entry Route
Step 1:
Fill the form and submit necessary documents to register for Intermediate Course
Step 2:
Appear in CA Intermediate Examination after a study period of 8 Months & Pass BOTH groups of Intermediate Examination
Step 3:
Complete Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) before commencement of Practical Training (PT) i.e Articleship
Step 4:
Register for CA Final AND commence 2 years of Practical Training (PT)
Step 5:
Complete and qualify self-paced online modules
Step 6:
Complete 2 years of Practical Training
Step 7:
Successfully complete Advanced ICITSS after completion of Practical Training but before appearing for Final Examination
Step 8:
Appear for CA Final Examination 6 months AFTER Practical Training is completed.
Step 9:
Pass both groups of CA Final Examination
Step 10:
Apply for Membership of ICAI and Qualify as a Chartered Accountant
